Mini implants have the same structure as standard implants but are slightly smaller and require less of an investment, making them a more affordable option for securing dentures in the mouth. They are best for:
- Supporting dentures where there is not enough bone to place a conventional implant
- When a block graft or ridge split cannot be performed
TREATMENT
During the procedure, metal posts are surgically positioned into the jaw. Once the bone around the posts has healed, replacement dentures are attached to the posts. This method can occasionally be used to restore individual teeth in small, limited spaces.
